What kind of donations do you accept?
  • Age appropriate new and tenderly used clothing
  • Toiletries (FULL SIZED shampoo and conditioner, bar of soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant )
  • NEW socks and undergarments​
What size clothing do you need?
  • Infant (layette, size 0) up to adult sizes XXL-XXXL-and beyond. We accept ALL SIZES, but kindly request AGE APPROPRIATE. Please be advised that our adult sized clothing are for grade school students NOT intended for adults. 
Where can I purchase new clothing to donate?
  • A popular style we are noticing within our Amarillo ISD, Bushland ISD, River Road ISD, Highland Park ISD & Canyon ISD schools right now is CASUAL t-shirts, jeans and athletic apparel. Local stores to shop for age appropriate items includes stores similar to Gap (on-line), Old Navy, The Children's Place, Aeropostale, American Eagle, Academy, Aerie, Dillards.

Where can I drop off donations?
  • We have several drop-off locations across the Amarillo area and one location in Canyon to make it as easy as possible to make a donation. ​ See a full list of locations here!​

Does US CLEANERS clean the clothing donations
  • No. US Cleaners has graciously offered their locations as convenient drop off locations for clothing donors. US Cleaners is ONLY a drop off location/temporary storage facility. Colorful Closets requests that all donated clothing is donated previously clean, and in great condition.

How should I package donations?
  • Please place all clothing donations in a bag and label each bag "COLORFUL CLOSETS."
  • Please avoid using large boxes to donate clothing. We prefer all clothing is donated in trash bags for transportation purposes.
